Kernow Strength & Conditioning Athletes Rise to the Challenge at KeltX

A Weekend to Remember

Some race days are remembered for the results. Others are remembered for the character shown by every athlete who steps onto the course.

Last weekend’s KeltX competition firmly fell into the second category.

With soaring temperatures making every run and station even tougher than usual, 23 Kernow Strength & Conditioning teams proudly represented the gym. From seasoned podium finishers to first-time competitors, every team demonstrated the resilience, determination and support that define our community.

The podiums, flags and personal bests were special, but what made us proudest was seeing every athlete refuse to let the conditions beat them.

⭐ Weekend Highlights

🏆 Three Consecutive Podiums

Steve & Guy continued their remarkable run by securing a third consecutive category victory, while Nelly & Colin celebrated a third straight podium finish, with Colin also taking victory in Friday’s relay competition.

🏁 First Ever Female Flags

Hazel & Meg made gym history by securing Kernow Strength & Conditioning’s first ever female KeltX flags, finishing an outstanding 3rd place on their first race together.

Not to be outdone, Paula & Sarah followed with another podium performance to become our second female pair to win KeltX flags.

💪 First-Time Competitors

Many athletes experienced KeltX for the very first time, producing performances that suggest exciting futures ahead.

Several debut teams finished inside the Top 10 of their categories.

More Than Results

The podiums and personal bests were worth celebrating, but they weren’t what defined the weekend.

It was the athletes pushing through injury, supporting teammates, battling the heat and refusing to quit. That’s exactly what Kernow Strength & Conditioning is all about.

To every athlete, volunteer and supporter who represented the gym over the weekend—thank you. You did the club proud.
